Rædsel is a four piece post-rock band from Kassel, Germany formed in 2017. Rædsel is Philipp (drums), Stefan (bass), Andreas (guitar/vocals) and Richard (guitar/vocals). The Danish word „Rædsel“ comes from a book by Kierkegaard and means fear.

They started as guys hanging out in studio. They were creating some music in a collaborative process and a concept or theme is decided later. As they moved forward with making music, they started to question what a band capable of and tried new elements with their music and started experimenting with new ideas.

They released their first EP “A Simple Act of Redirection” in 2018 and they received positive feedback of internationally from post-rock world and the media.

They started working on their debut album “Menetekel” and they have sent their recordings to Fluttery Records. These recordings got the attention of the label and they are in the label’s artist roster ever since.
