Organic and electronic textures weave together, inviting listeners on a journey through lush soundscapes, bustling cityscapes, and the vastness of space.
Yes, Taner Torun is the founder of Fluttery Records. If you’ve purchased any CDs from Fluttery Records in the last 15 years, he’s the one who processed your order. He has brought together incredible artists from all over the world under one roof at his label, Fluttery Records, which he holds dear to his heart.
In addition to managing Fluttery Records, Taner also creates music himself. He is now ready to introduce his new music project, Celestial Trails, with the debut album ‘Lunar Beachcomber’.
Celestial Trails paints sonic tapestries layer by layer, seamlessly blending the warmth of organic textures from piano, analog synths, electric and bass guitars with the precision of virtual electronic instruments. The organic recordings are further enhanced through electroacoustic techniques such as reverb, delay, harmonizing, tape manipulation, and sonic deconstruction. Additionally, field recordings captured during nature hikes and city walks, manipulated with tape effects, seamlessly merge into the composition.
The recording journey of Lunar Beachcomber spanned from June 2023 to January 2024, beginning with a session in Pittsburgh, PA, on a sleepless hot summer night and concluding in San Francisco, CA. All album recordings were exclusively made in these two cities.
Drawing inspiration from the boundless beauty of nature, urban landscapes, and the mysterious cosmos, Lunar Beachcomber beckons listeners to embark on an exploration of uncharted sonic territories. From lush soundscapes to tranquil meadows, bustling cityscapes, and the vast expanses of outer space, the album invites an immersive journey through varied landscapes of sound.
