SleepingToys is an instrumental rock & post-rock project from Moscow, Russia making music since 2016. The project was started by Ilya Medelyaev as a solo project and later other musicians joined.

Ilya says he has been he has been writing music since ten years and he says it took him a while for him to release music and present it to people. After a while his main goal was to implement creative ideas and he wanted just simply upload them on the net for others to listen.

Their tracks online got the attention of post-rock lovers, also the well-known post-rock band, “God is an Astronaut”. They invited “SleepingToys” to perform at the opening of the Moscow concert of their tour in 2018. Only a couple of months before the concert, guitarist Pavel Maltson joined the band. To improve the performance on the stage Nikolay Puzyrev was invited. Last bust not least, drummer Igor Zheltov joined the line-up. They are writing and releasing new music as a band ever since.
