Updates about upcoming Mooncake album

Followers of our blog knows that Mooncake is pushing hard to finish their second long play. Russian post-rock band started recording the guitars at Sound Division Studios (Riga, Latvia) in March and toured Russia and Ukraine in April.

Here are the updates.

The band members said “Today we started recording cello for the tracks of our second LP. The session takes place at a Riga Sound Recording Studio, right in center of Riga’s old town – it is an old protestant church converted into a studio, since 1960s it has been one of the main recording studios in the USSR.” on June 26. Then, of course the drums! On July 11, other good news came from the studio: They have finished recording acoustic cellos of the second album, started recording electric cello parts.

Besides recording, the band will be play two acoustic show in August.
