Monochromie is the musical project of Wilson Trouvé. Visual artist, self-taught pianist and composer, he has been releasing music since 2012 under the moniker Monochromie or his real name. As Monochromie, his music goes through various genres such as ambient, post-rock, electronic, experimental and cinematic music.

Trouvé has worked with various independents labels such as Fluttery Records, Time Released Sound, 1631 Recordings, Sonder House, Hush Hush Records.

Monochromie’s previous albums have been reviewed and acclaimed by many music blogs such as Echoes and Dust, A Closer Listen, Hypnagogue, This is not a scene, Stationery Travels, ATTN Magazine, Fractured Air, Against the Oddz, Reykjavik Boulevard, Beach Sloth, De Subjectivisten, Babyblaue Seiten, Cyclic Defrost, No more Workhorse and many more.

Over the past few years, Wilson Trouvé has also worked with various music publishers and supervisors so as to place his music into tv films and series, documentaries, advertisings, trailers.

Through the borders of ambient, noise and post-rock, these surfaces and textures slowly evolve towards an elsewhere, producing the resonance of a particular atmosphere: a dark or luminous landscape, aerial or earthly, a hot or cold light. Each song’s color is unique and draw bridges between classical and contemporary, minimalism and baroque, using a piano, a metallophone, and some other acoustic instruments mixed with crystalline sounds, sparkling, squeaky or saturated.
